Bigfoot Hunters in Love edition by Jamie Fessenden Romance eBooks
This book was so much fun. As an uncomplicated, angst free story filled with fun and humour, it kept me entertained from start to finish.I have to be honest and admit that my first reaction when I looked at the cover was: ‘that’s a bit over the top’. And then I read the book and realised the cover is as perfect for this story as a cover could possibly be. Not only because it perfectly conveys the light-hearted tone of this novella but also because poor Stuart ends up flashing his bits in all sorts of awkward (for him) and fun (for the reader and Jake) situations.
Yes, we are most definitely dealing with a case of insta-lust, insta-infatuation, or even insta-love but hey, there’s nothing like a stressful situation to bring strong feelings to the forefront. And if finding yourself face to face with Bigfoot isn’t stressful, I don’t know what is. And besides, both men in the story are well aware of the fact that they’ve only just met and can’t really put any expectations on the other, even if it doesn’t stop them from hoping that maybe the other man shares their hopes.
I read this book with a huge smile on my face from start to finish. I adored Stuart’s dog, Thor who loyally tries to protect his human from the big-footed intruders and in the process causes Stuart a lot of trouble, but also brings him in contact with Jake. And Stuart and Jake were nice characters; the sort of men I would love to be friends with. And yes, the two of them are rather hot together too.
I liked that even the characters in the book aren’t prepared to make definitive statements with regards to Bigfoot, despite the fact that they’ve been up close and way too personal with creatures that closely resemble the descriptions of this myth. And I liked the fact that they decide they’d rather keep the creatures safe than make a name for themselves by revealing what they’ve discovered even more.
Overall this was a fun and fast read — perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Bigfoot Hunters in Love edition by Jamie Fessenden Romance eBooks Reviews
Jamie Fessenden gives us this lighthearted, funny, and oddly enough intriguing tale about big foot and two Bigfoot hunters. Jamie has a writing style all his own that drags the reader in and holds them there regardless of what story he's written. He's become an insta-buy for me.
It’s an interesting and odd story line, with a couple of interesting characters, but there isn’t much chemistry between Jake and Stuart, though they are quickly infatuated with each other. The lack of chemistry also makes the sex scenes more of an “also ran” event than anything else.
A fun sexy story. Stuart has moved with his dog Thor from the big city to a old farm house. Seeing dark furred shapes in the field, Thor goes crazy barking and chasing them. Stuart not wanting to lose his dog follows. He gets himself lost. He sees the creatures and takes off, smacking into and knocking over a big foot hunter named Jake. Thus began Stuart's and jake's romance. A fun, light and east read.

A charming, straightforward romantic novella with an unlikely plot arc finding Bigfoot.
Right off, Fessenden’s clean, economical style is a pleasure to read. Stuart is contentedly living in an isolated New Hampshire house, writing romance novels under a female nom de plume. What he doesn’t expect is to be chased through the woods in his bathrobe by an unidentifiable creature in the middle of the night. Nor does he expect to crash headlong into a handsome forest ranger who spends his vacation hunting for the very creatures Stuart is running from.
The awkward initial interaction between Stuart and Jake is believable and well drawn. Stuart doesn’t mind being alone, and the bisexual Jake has never seen himself in a longterm relationship with a man.
But Bigfoot brings them together, so to speak.
Fessenden sticks to what he knows, and the resultant effortless realism of his prose anchors the book nicely in a world to which the reader can relate. The same is true for the emerging relationship between the two protagonists, and also—oddly enough—for the plotline related to the mysterious bipedal creatures that inadvertently cause their meeting.
The problem here is one of scale. Novellas need to be concise, but Fessenden has created both characters who intrigue us and a story worthy of greater expansion than the pages allowed can accommodate. I simply didn’t feel that I got enough of either Stuart or Jake—not enough back story, not enough of their shared story as they get to know each other. Even falling in love quickly takes some space on the page, and I just never quite felt satisfied with what Fessenden was willing to give us.
Similarly, I was fascinated by this spin on the eye-rolling premise of Bigfoot hunters, which somehow makes the idea both plausible and—seriously—touching. I was getting a sort of warm Jane Goodall feeling about Jake and Stuart and the hairy guys in the woods. There’s a back story here as well, through the man who owned the house before Stuart, and the author could really have expanded this part of the narrative into something important, if only he had developed a full novel.
There’s nothing wrong with this book, nothing at all. There’s just not enough of it.
A good story
I've always been a big Fessenden fan, and this one is so much fun. )
